Vitamin D Test
Two of every three Canadians do not meet the minimum level of vitamin D considered adequate for optimal health. Health Canada recommends all Canadians supplement with 1000 iu of vitamin D daily. This dose may not be high enough. We often see patients supplementing consistently who still have not reached optimal vitamin D status. Low Vitamin D can be found in depression, anxiety, fatigue, poor immunity, high blood pressure, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s, arthritis, cancer, kidney and celiac disease.
